Vines are quite widespread in the Park, especially in the fertile areas, where they are cultivated, with an espalier training system, for wine grapes. In the vicinity of old country dwellings and farms vines are trained to form pergolas, yielding table grapes for domestic consumption. The grapes from vineyards on State property are used to produce a wine called Diodoros, which is bottled and used to promote the organoleptic qualities of what is a typical product of the Agrigento area.
